Dr Kelvin Koh Poh Leong

Dr Koh is registered with the Singapore Dental Council as a Dental Specialist in Orthodontics. Dr Koh graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1999. Thereafter, he served as a Dental Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces, National Dental Centre and School Dental Services.

Dr Koh was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons having completed both the FRACDS Australian PART I and II examinations. Dr Koh earned his Masters of Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) at the National University Singapore and was also conferred membership in the Royal College of Surgeons, United Kingdom (Edinburgh). He was trained to do Orthodontics for both adult and children at National University Hospital (NUH) and National Dental Centre (NDC).

Dr Koh is currently an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic (Diploma in Oral Health Therapy). Dr Koh enjoys doing Interceptive Orthodontics (functional appliances, facemask therapy and removable appliances) for children. He finds great satisfaction in doing growth modification for children with jaw problems at an early age.

Dr Koh is a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontics and a member of the Association of Orthodontists, Singapore (AOS) and the Singapore Dental Association (SDA).

Dr Lai Juen Bin

Dr Lai is experienced in the management and treatment of:

  • Dental implants, bone grafting
  • Jaw surgery /orthognathic surgery
  • Dental and Craniomaxillofacial trauma, fractured jaw bones, cheek bone fractures, orbital fractures
  • Obstructive sleep apnea
  • Periodontal and gum recession surgery
  • Temporomandibular joint disorder , botox injection for migraines and myalgia
  • Facial bone contouring surgeries, V-line surgeries, zygomatic reduction surgeries
  • Oral and jaw pathology / cysts / tumours
  • Paediatric oral surgery (retained baby teeth, impacted teeth or extra teeth, jaw cysts or swelling, tongue tie)

He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000 during which he received numerous awards (Dean’s List, Singapore Dental Association Bronze Medal, Gold Medal for best in clinical dentistry). Thereafter, he completed Masters of Dental Surgery in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and obtained Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and Academy of Medicine Singapore.

Prior his transition to private practice, Dr Lai Juen Bin was a senior consultant and clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, National Dental Centre Singapore where he was involved in postgraduate OMS training. He was awarded by Ministry of Health Singapore to USA for Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training and was made Adjunct Professor at Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery University of Alabama Birmingham USA in 2008-2009.

He was the Head of Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Changi General Hospital from 2013 to 2020. He was also the Director, Dental Service CGH clinical service of SingHealth Duke-NUS ORH-ACP from 2013 to 2020 and was instrumental in the development of NDCS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery clinic @ Changi General Hospital.  He was the core member of the multispecialty integrated facial reconstruction service and obstructive sleep service workgroup in Changi General Hospital. Dr Lai sat in the National Dental Specialist Accreditation Board for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2014-2016.

As a firm believer of positive patient experience, he thrives to empathize with patients and provide quality clinical care. Dr Lai is awarded Singapore Health Quality Service 2022 Gold award.

Darren Lee Zong Ru

Oral Health Therapist

Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy (Merit)

Darren is a registered Part I Oral Health Therapist with the Singapore Dental Council. He is the first recipient of the inaugural Oral Health Therapist of the Year Award 2019 by the Association for Oral Health Therapists (Singapore), which recognises the best of the profession. He graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2008. He topped his cohort and was awarded the Diploma with Merit and the Singapore Dental Association Prize for being best in clinical practice. It is his passion for excellence that enabled him to achieve the academic accolades. He is currently an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic and is a member of its Oral Health Therapy Advisory Panel. He is also a member of the Association for Oral Health Therapists.

Besides his love for Dentistry, Darren is an avid musician. He came in top in several National Songwriting Competitions, and has written music professionally, most recently for Hong Kong cantopop singer Jason Chan (陳柏宇). He coaches swimming too and is a registered coach with Sport SG.

Darren loves interacting with children and youths. It was his exposure and fascination in the various psychological phenomena within the dental practice that has led him to pursue further education in Psychology. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Singapore Management University and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London.
