Dr Yeo Jing Ting
Dr Yeo obtained her dental degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2010. As an undergraduate she was awarded the Colgate® International Travel Grant in 2008 based on her excellent academic performances, which allowed her to further pursue her interests in general dentistry and oral surgery at the University of British Columbia in Canada as an exchange student.
Following graduation from NUS, Dr Yeo was employed by the Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH) as a dental officer, during which time she received further training by undergoing rotations at multiple sub-speciality departments in public healthcare institutions. Her work experience includes time spent at the Department of Oral Surgery in the National Dental Centre of Singapore and Department of Pediatric Dentistry in Kandang Kerbau (KK) Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She has also worked at the Departments of General Dentistry at Changi General Hospital, National University Hospital and Singapore Health Services Polyclinics.
Dr Yeo is also a member of the Singapore Dental Association (SDA) ethics committee and plays an active role in mediating medico-legal disputes between patients and dental healthcare providers.
The range of dental care services provided by Dr Yeo includes, but is not limited to dental checkups, fillings, scaling and polishing, wisdom teeth removal, and fitting of dental prostheses such as dentures, crowns and bridges. Dr Yeo is also adept at handling pediatric patients, on the basis of her training in Pediatric Dentistry in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Complex cases such as those involving root canal and dental implants are routinely performed by Dr Yeo, under surgical microscopic guidance and the assistance of a specialized surgical nursing team, to ensure delivery of the highest standards of care.
Dr Yeo is a proud mother of 3 young children, whom she loves to spend time with outside her working hours. Being staunchly family oriented, she has put her aspirations of being a specialist in oral surgery on hold, in order to nurture her children while supporting her husband in his specialization as an Ophthalmologist. A self-confessed foodie, she enjoys a constant and guilt-free pursuit of good eats in Singapore while balancing it with her love for sports like running and cycling. She also makes an effort to maintain her currency in specialized dentistry by learning from expert practitioners in the field. She is hopeful that she would, in the near future, be able to return to public service to pursue a specialization in oral surgery.
